I take a real delight on loving on my man and enjoy looking for little ways I can make his day. There is no place I would rather spend my evenings than with him by my side on one of our faithfilled date nights at home or just praying for and with him. As someone who shows love by receiving gifts, I also revel in searching out the perfect gift to give to my beloved.
Want to know some of my favorite things to give to my Catholic man? You’ll find some of my favorite gifts below. Any of these gifts are perfect for Father’s Day, Christmas, or birthdays. There is something here for every man, marriage, and every budget!
Gift Guide for {Catholic} Men
Bible Study Resources
You know I love learning about the faith and so does Husband. Books can be a great tool when you really want to get to the heart of a Biblical text, but building a solid Catholic Bible study bookshelf can be pricey. I tend to give Husband a book for every occasion as a way to build up our library over time. Some of his favorite Bible study resources are the Sacra Pagina series, The Lord, Fire of Mercy series, Concordance, and Catholic Catechism. I could go on forever, but these are a great place to start!
Don’t forget that a subscription to Magnificat magazine with all the daily readings and beautiful art might be just the thing for your Catholic man!
Religious Books
Again, Husband knows me well enough to know he will find a book as one of his presents for Christmas, Father’s Day, or birthdays. Far from boring, he is always excited to see what is in that rectangular package. There are many fabulous Catholic books out there, but you can’t go wrong with writings of Jacques Philippe, Scott Hahn, Jeff Cavins, Fr. Michael Gaitley, Ralph Martin, and the saints.
Here are some lists of my favorite books:
(While these posts were intended for women, there are lots of books there that would be enjoyed by men as well.)
- 10 Books that Shaped my Conversion
- Bible Study Resources for the {Everyday} Catholic Mom
- Busy Mama’s Guide to Self Education: Catholicism
Catholic Courses
Along the lines of learning about the faith, there are lots of good courses available online for the Catholic man who wants to go even deeper. Following are several I found using Google, although I can’t vouch for either of them. It is definitely something to look into further if you think your Catholic man would like them!
A Manly Catholic Planner
If you man is interested in the liturgical year or you want to inspire with daily reminders of his faith, check out my Catholic planners! I offer the half size format with a more gender neutral cover which makes it a fabulous and unique gift for a man!
And there is even a Traditional Latin Mass version if that is your fancy!
Catholic Conferences
If your budget and season of life allows, a Catholic conference will be a real boost to your Catholic man’s faith. Husband and I have so enjoyed watching the Steubenville Conference talks available on Youtube, and would love to make it there someday. Together we have attended the Christ Our Life Conference in Des Moines, which is also a great conference if you are in the Midwest. Google your area and “Catholic Conference” if you aren’t aware of any.
DIY Retreat Day
If a conference isn’t in the budget or schedule, the Catholic man in your life can still benefit from a day away to pray and discern. Make up a “coupon” of sorts and a retreat bag to gift him on the special day. The retreat bag might contain a Bible, notebook, pens, rosary, other spiritual reading, snacks, and water bottle. Encourage your man to go to a local park and not come back until supper time. The best part about this gift is the price tag – FREE!
Crucifix necklace
In an effort to be more courageous in wearing his faith on his sleeve, Husband requested a large crucifix necklace for his last birthday (similar to the one pictured above). Some men may prefer something more subdued and others may want something even more pronounced. Either way, a good crucifix necklace is something every Catholic should have. Here is another one I came across that I liked for men.
Rosary and Medals
A man who loves the Blessed Mother is a real gift to the family. We have several cheap rosaries floating around, but Husband still doesn’t have a nice one of his own. You could even print off the Rosary in a Month Challenge to include with your gift. Here are my favorite rosary and medal for Catholic men:
Good Catholic Music
In my opinion, good Catholic music needs to be beautiful and reverent. I’m not into the music on the local Christian station. When I can’t tell if the artist is singing about God or their boyfriend, it bothers me. If you like that kind of music, good for you, but it is definitely not my cup of tea. Husband and I have struggled to find casual religious music. Here are two winners that are produced by Catholic artists.
- Collin Raye’s His Love Remains
- Luke Spehar (every CD is a winner and we own them all!)
Kendra’s Cafe Press Shop
I discovered Kendra last summer, and have been enjoying her blog ever since. Last fall she started a CafePress store in which you will find all kinds of Catholic treasures for that special Dad. Everything has a touch of Catholic flare! You’ll find shirts, coffee mugs, and drinking glasses that any Catholic dad would love!
Barbatus: Catholic Beard Balm
Oh, yes, there really is such a thing! Seems like many men are following in the footsteps of Scott Hahn, Jeff Cavins, and Fr. Michael Gaitley. With scents like Chrism, Franciscan, Orthodoxy, Holy Smoke, and Lectio, you can’t get anymore Catholic! While Husband remains beardless (and probably always will), I’ve heard good things about the Catholic Beard Balm from a bearded friend.
Religious Order Products
This idea is definitely in the running for my Father’s Day gift idea. So many religious orders produce stellar products to help support themselves. Most of these products make the perfect gift! There is such a variety, you are sure to find something for any man on your list! Here are a couple of roundups of various religious orders that sell products.

A Catholic Planner
You knew I needed to throw this in there didn’t you? A simple and affordable planner for any budget or Catholic man!
Go-to Last Minute Gift
Ever have Father’s Day or a husband’s birthday totally sneak up on you? My go-to last minute gift is always a winner and makes Husband feel loved and appreciated. I can easily pull together a full menu breakfast in bed (eggs, bacon, toast, cinnamon rolls, and coffee) served with a Bible, homemade cards (from me and kids), and the encouragement to take his time in bed with some quiet moments with God.
