Can I get 100% honest here? Between Cov-ID and the pregnancy/birth/medical issues of George, liturgical life has taken a back seat this year.
Of course, there were some last minute celebrations thrown together and we even kept up some of our old liturgical traditions too (the Rozycki’s never miss donuts on All Saints’ Day!!!), but there has been nothing spectacular going on in our little Catholic home.
But now that George is here, I’m trying to get back into the swing of things and one of my goals is to breath some liturgical life back into our home as we close out the church calendar and move into Advent.
That’s why I was so excited when I was contacted by Catholic Family Crate to do a bit of a review (as well as a giveaway!).

Unboxing the November Catholic Family Crate Subscription Box
Clare was my lovely assistant on this gorgeous fall day! We both loved the box and she will be keeping it for storing her many “treasures!”
What’s in the box:
- Parent guide
- 1 prayer art print
- 2 saint art prints (with extra info on the back)
- 1 craft
- 1 game
- 1 virtue chat table topper
- 1 decal
- rosary prayer cards (sorrowful and glorious mysteries)
The box comes with a parent guide that lays out:
- what’s included in the box
- how to use the goodies
- links to box “extras” (a Spotify playlist and extra printables for this month)
Each box comes with some liturgical art of sorts. The saint cards have more information about each saint on the back and the “Come Holy Spirit” prayer card encourages family prayer.
Art Prints
- St. Frances Xavier Cabrini
- St. Martin de Porres
- Come Holy Spirit prayer
There are so many ways these can be used!
- feast table art (keep them handy in a liturgical binder)
- framed as art
- displayed on a decorative “clothesline” in a homeschool room
Crafts
I like easy-peasy crafts and this totally fits the bill. The kids got to cut out St. Frances Xavier Cabrini, St. Raphael, and St. Damien of Molokai. We got to chat a bit about missionaries while they worked.
Game
St. Martin de Porres Bingo was a fun way to learn and discuss this saint. Each image represented something in his life and was a great way to spark discussion.
The kids both loved the St. Martin de Porres decal and decided they wanted it on the mirror in their room.
I thought the virtue chat table topper was a great idea for getting formative discussion going around the supper table. The November discussion revolves around being grateful!
Catechesis Corner
This month the catechesis portion of the box featured prayer cards with the Sorrowful and Glorious mysteries of the rosary. I just love the simple but classic images on the cards and can’t wait to use them as part of our daily decade in the morning!
A few of my thoughts
Quality?
Everything in the box was of top notch quality. The paper (crafts, prayer cards, art prints, etc.) and the decal were heavy duty and sturdy. The colors were vibrant.
What’s included?
Having a (quite accidental) small business of my own, I know how costly it can be to offer quality products to customers.
Catholic Family Crate is quite affordable for all the things that will be sent directly to your door.
So many pieces can be used from year to year and can easily be stored in a liturgical binder.
Easy to use
Again, I love that this is just so grab and go!
A great gift!
At this time of year, we start thinking of giving gifts. The Catholic Family Crate would be a great way to support a small Catholic run business AND share the faith with your children (godchildren, grandchildren, or nieces/nephews).
Giveway
I can’t wait to offer one of you a set of the Glorious and Sorrowful Rosary card sets. Watch for the 2020 Catholic Gift Guide to be posted in the next week to get all the details on how to win these and lots of other great prizes!
